Let's help you get the best out of your hair and makeup appointment!
Facial Hair Removal:
Make sure to schedule your facial waxing at least a week before your big event. Do it too close, and your foundation might just decide to take a slippery slide across your face, showing off every spot where hair is or isn't. Trust me, nobody wants to sport a shiny moustache patch! As for those rogue hairs, feel free to pluck them the day before, no harm, no foul!
Lash Lifts:
If you're all about that fresh-faced beauty vibe with just a smidge of mascara and no spider-leg falsies, then a lash lift by a seasoned pro is your ticket. But beware! Fried or over-curled lashes are so last season, so pick your lash guru like you’re picking avocados...carefully. This treatment might just shrink your lashes and give them a funky twist.
Now, if you're the type who dreams of fluttering those dramatic falsies to enhance your eye makeup, steer clear of this treatment. The curl in your lashes will catapult those falsies into orbit, making it a mission impossible for any lash to stick around.
Lash Extensions:
Lash extensions are like that high-maintenance friend who always needs attention. If your lashes are doing their own disappearing act or playing the game of "let's go in random directions," we can't really help with that. It might leave your eye makeup looking like a modern art piece, unfinished and a bit chaotic. Plus, if those extensions are too hefty, they might just steal the spotlight from your fabulous makeup look. We'd much prefer starting with a clean slate to pop on a stunning set of false lashes for you!
Fake Tanning:
Fake tans are great for evening out skin tone and giving a bronze, glowy look. Unless you have a very sensitive face/reaction to tanning product, please make sure you also get your face tanned. You will need to make sure your face/neck and body are exfoliated and prepped before getting your tan so that you aren't patchy for your event. I recommend getting your tan done 48 hours from your event. If you don't get your face tanned, don't worry we got you!
Dermaplanning:
Controversial topic and many artists have differing opinions on this, I am not and have never been a fan of the dermaplanning trend. Much like waxing your face, having all hair shaved off your face gives your foundation nothing to adhere to. Any missed patches on your face will be highlighted where the foundation grabs. If you a partial to dermaplanning make sure your do this at least a week out from your event.
Masks and Facials:
If you enjoy getting facials, make sure to schedule 1-2 weeks before your event. Avoid trying any new facial treatments the week of your event unless you are certain there won't be any adverse reactions or recovery time.
Picture this: You're lounging in your PJs with a glass of wine in one hand and a sheet mask on your face, feeling like a skincare goddess. Fast forward to the next morning, and you're rocking a new look, sheet mask leftovers in your hair and on your skin. Not exactly the flawless vibe you were going for, right? Trust me, your foundation will start pilling like an old sweater. And those fancy serums and creams you love? Save them for another night!
Brow Laminations: As above for lash lifts. This can be great for taming unruly brows however I have seen far too many fried brows and lashes in my time. There is nothing we can do to un-fry them for you. We carry the products to set your brows in place without a lamination. Let us do the work on the day.
